Car Sharing arrangements to attend Leeds in August - Please Read

Greetings,

After chatting to a few people who are travelling up to the event from various parts of the country it was suggested that to save costs, get people there on time [people that came on the train to the first event and travelled in the early morning were late due to a major delay we heard] and to be a little pollution friendly [note I didn't mention CO² there!] we should at least offer a forum node that allowed people to plan in advance where they were travelling from and other factors.

Please feel free to create a post here along the following lines.

State the follow to help people:

  • Location travelling from
  • Return lift needed?
  • Date of travel [ie: whole event or part of event]
  • Offer of driving own car
  • Have no car use but can offer towards fuel costs

    ...and anything else after these points you feel may be needed.

    If this section grows enough - we will split it into regions but at the moment let's just see what take-up there is for the idea.

    Please note that you leave phone numbers, emails and location info at your own risk but we encourage you to share as much as possible here so other attendees can offer to join if their situation fits your own.

    Hi! I and possibly my son (12) would love to attend this event and would likely spent the whole event there but I don't have a car. Any one travelling roughly via the Rushden area? Not far from Wellingborough, Bedford, Northampton.

    I'd be happy to contribute to fuel costs.
