Evidence for a covert space program

Hi all

This is really a test topic starter but we could see how it pans out if people have some ideas to input.

Given we have shaped one day of the weekend conference around the notion of an existing secret space program I would like to see what people thought constituted evidence for such a thing.

Obviously we're not in regular "evidence territory" with this one as it's not a disclosed part of public budgets and resources. Some sort of US based or trans-national cabal runs the operation - what I've called "above-government" describes this group the best I think as they exist as a satellite to regular civil and political structures. ie: they may be hidden but they exist also as part of the regular power systems and can thus influence terrestrial matters where they need to but simultaneously access a totally separate layer of military and/or corporate life. Peter Dale Scott has written much on this area and I would suggest that exopolitics and the ET/UFO issue fits perfectly into his framework of 'deep' or 'para' politics.

Due to this covert aspect - what forms of evidence are considered valid? Can we 'losen' our idea of evidence somewhat because of this?

After posting this topic - I will list some evidence points and ideas at a later date.

Difficult, but i think

Difficult, but i think evidence from sources that independently corroborate is probably the best bet at the moment without written evidence. Although you have to be assured that the source you are getting the information from is reliable, seeing as how more often than not, these sources refuse to reveal their sources.
There's lots of good information about the secret space programme on sites like Project Camelot. There seems to be an overwhelming amount of testimony for bases on mars and the moon, as well as possibly others.
You can also use information from the mainstream media to corroborate information taken from unreliable sources. Bob Dean talked about missing trillions of dollars from the US treasury in order to fund the secret space programme.
Sounded plausible when I was researching this for the first time, then I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xU4GdHLUHwU

Good points Ben... I guess it

Good points Ben...

I guess it all comes down to 'evidence' - and I think we have to deal with that concept *differently* in this area than say the way we were taught that the basics physics principles work. So for example can we "weight" certain data [like Bob Dean saying there are terrestrial colonies on Mars] instead of just having it stand as TRUE or FALSE ??

I'm going to cover this a little in the talk hopefully.
